Institute for Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems

ILASS-International - ILASS-International is the umbrella organization for the American, European and Asian regional ILASS sections.

ILASS-Americas - ILASS-Americas is an organization of industrialists, researchers, academics, and students engaged in professional activities connected with the spraying of liquids. Its membership is open to residents of countries that are part of the American continents.

AEDA - Spanish Aerosol Association

AEROBAL - The European Association of Aluminium Aerosol Container Manufacturers. AEROBAL’s aim is to enter into an open dialogue with public and other stakeholders in order to promote aluminium as packaging material and the products of its members.

AIA - Italian Aerosol Association.  This website provides aerosol news in Italian.

American Electroplaters & Surface Finishing Society - The American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society, Inc. (AESF), is an international, individual-membership, non-profit professional society. Founded in 1909, the AESF has 78 Branches and more than 5,000 members, worldwide. The Society is regarded and respected as the foremost finishing authority in the world.

BAMA - The British Aerosol Manufacturers Association. The British Aerosol Manufacturers' Association (BAMA) is a trade association that represents the interests of all sections of the aerosol industry, from the suppliers of components and chemicals to fillers and marketers of aerosol products.

British Coatings Federation (BCF). The Federation provides training initiatives, programs and qualifications for the surface coatings industry; lobbies UK, European and International authorities for the benefit of members; develops industry-focused guidance; agrees industry priorities; and encourages industry best practice

CADEA - Le Camara Argentina del Aerosol. The Argentinian Aerosol Organization offers support to its members in the areas of standards, technical training, and environmental issues.

CAPCO - The Consumer Aerosol Products Council. CAPCO is devoted to the topic of aerosols and the environment, with a strong focus on recycling.

CCSPA - The Canadian Consumer Specialty Products Association - CCSPA is a national trade association representing the consumer, industrial and institutional specialty products industry.

Center for Thermal Spray Research (CTSR) at the State University of New York at Stony Brook is a designated US National Science Foundation (NSF) Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC). The MRSEC program focuses on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to materials research of the highest caliber. There are 29 MRSECs in the US specializing in various aspects of materials physics, chemistry and engineering. Details about these Centers are available at www.mrsec.org. CTSR was established as a MRSEC in 1996 following a yearlong national competition and supported initially for a period of 4 years. In 2000, CTSR was reestablished for an additional 5-year period.

AAA - Aerosol Association of Australia - Established in 1964, the Aerosol Association of Australia Inc. has approximately 50 members involved in the manufacture and marketing of aerosol products and major suppliers to these companies.

CFA - French Aerosol Association.  This French organization represents and defends the interests of the aerosol industry. They also encourage their members to respect the environment.

Chemical Coaters Association International --The Chemical Coaters Association International is a technical and professional organization that provides information and training on surface coating technologies.

CSPA - Consumers Specialty Products Association. The Consumer Specialty Products Association (CSPA) represents the interests of the consumer specialty products industry – a dynamic industry that provides households, institutions, and industrial customers with products that help provide a cleaner and healthier environment.

CTFA - The Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association - CTFA has approximately 600 member companies. Active members are manufacturers and distributors of finished products. Associate members are suppliers of ingredients, raw materials, packaging, and other services used in the production and marketing of finished products, as well as consumer and trade publications.

EAA - Eastern Aerosol Association.  The EAA exposes its members to the latest technological and regulatory developments. It is a proactive organization that influences action affecting the aerosol industry within its region.

SCC - The Society of Cosmetic Chemists - Dedicated to the advancement of cosmetic science, the Society strives to increase and disseminate scientific information through meetings and publications.

FEA - European Aerosol Federation - FEA fosters innovation and enhanced product performance across a broad range of products in the global competitive environment in which it operates. The FEA is also concerned about responsible aerosol use with regard to the environment.

Federation of Societies for Coating Technology. The Mission of the FSCT is to provide technical education and professional development to its members and to the global industry through its multi-national Constituent Societies and collectively as a Federation

National Association of Metal Finishers – The purpose of the NAMF is to advance, protect and perpetuate the surface finishing industry, and to develop the highest standards of service, quality and conduct

National Metal Finishing Resource Center - The National Metal Finishing Resource Center (NMFRC) is an Internet-based organization which was established in 1995 under a program jointly funded by the Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Environmental Protection Agency. Industry partners include the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society AESF), the National Association of Metal Finishers (NAMF), and the Metal Finishing Suppliers Association (MFSA). It is a comprehensive environmental, technical, and pollution prevention metal finishing resource.

National Paint and Coatings Association. Focuses on regulatory issues and compliance.

NPCA - The National Paint & Coatings Association - NPCA is a voluntary, nonprofit trade association in the United States representing some 350 paint and coatings manufacturers, raw materials suppliers and distributors. NPCA’s primary role is to serve as ally and advocate on legislative, regulatory and judicial issues at the federal, state and local levels.

Paints & Coatings Resource Center - The Paint and Coatings Resource Center (PCRC) is maintained by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS). The PCRC is one of the Compliance Assistance Centers developed by industry-government partnerships, with support from EPA's Office of Compliance. Each Center focuses on a different industry sector, one that is heavily populated with small businesses and entities, and that faces substantial federal regulation. The main objective of the PCRC is to deliver regulatory and pollution prevention information, either directly to businesses engaged in painting and coating, or indirectly through the technical assistance community (including state and local agencies, and consultants).

Powder Coating Institute –The Powder Coating Institute (PCI), representing the North American powder coating industry, promotes powder coating technology and communicates the benefits of powder coating to manufacturers, consumers, and government.

SATA - The Southern Aerosol Technical Association -    Industry association in the southeastern United States directed at development and sharing of technical, regulatory and marketing information to enhance and promote the growth of the aerosol industry.

Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE)
Publications and standards for coatings in the transportation industry, including automotive and aerospace coatings, fuel injection and combustion engines.

Society of Protective Coatings  - The purpose of the Society for Protective Coatings is to advance the technology and promote the use of protective coatings to preserve industrial, marine and commercial structures, components and substrates.

Spray Analysis and Research Services - Advancing spray technology through consulting, prototyping and testing.

The Combustion Institute: The Combustion Institute is an educational non-profit, international, scientific society whose purpose is to promote and disseminate research in combustion science. The main activity of The Combustion Institute is the International Symposium on Combustion that is the principal forum for presenting and integrating combustion research results. Institute’s monthly journal, Combustion and Flame, is the premier journal in the field of combustion.

Thermal Spray Society (TSS)
TSS is an Affiliate Society of ASM International. TSS serves those working with evolving technology through a variety of dedicated products and services. Membership in the society includes subscription to Advanced Materials and Processes Magazine and the Spraytime Quarterly, the official society newsletter published jointly with the International Thermal Spray Association.

WAIB - The Western Aerosol Information Bureau - The Western Aerosol Information Bureau is a regional association of companies involved with the production or marketing of aerosol products. The membership consists of approximately 70 companies, some small and independently owned, others nationally and internationally recognized.
