Facilities

Location. The Atomization and Spray Technology Short Course will be held at the Hyatt Regency Airport Hotel, which is directly connected to Pittsburgh International airport via moving walkway. (Follow the signs from the airport). Students are encouraged to stay at the hotel, where we have secured a special rate, so you will only need to rent a car if you have other business in Pittsburgh.

The hotel has a fully-equipped 1000 square foot health and fitness center, including a 50-foot indoor lap pool, steam room and sauna. DSL and wireless high speed internet access are available, as well as a dedicated business center.

The Pittsburgh Airport Hyatt Regency has reserved a block of rooms at a special rate of $128, plus 14% tax. The group rate is valid for reservations made through April 21. Call and mention the Spray Technology Short Course to receive the special rate, or place your order online at our discounted hotel reservation page.

Daily lunch will be included in the registration fee. For more information about the hotel, visit their website: www.pittsburgh.hyatt.com

Classroom and Exhibitors. Exhibitors will show instruments and equipment throughout the three days of the course. Participants will have plenty of time to examine the exhibits and discuss their special interests. Exhibitors have a great deal of specialized experience in particular instruments, measurement, data processing and using measurements for understanding and solving practical industrial problems.

Each participant will give a presentation explaining his/her particular experience and interest, including future plans and requirements. The three days of the short course will provide plenty of time for participants to meet, interact and learn from lecturers, exhibitors and fellow participants.
Each participant will be given a CD of the course notes at the time of registration. Participants who bring personal computers will be able to follow the lectures on their own computers and take notes, while they also view the projected PowerPoint presentations.

Before you come: Consider bringing your laptop so that you can take notes during the lectures with the CD we will provide. Also, consider preparing a brief presentation on your company’s experience with sprays so that the other students and lecturers may give you advice on how to better use your spray technology.
